Pick of the Now: Guntopolis

Part of being an artist is sharing stuff of interest with people, so let me share with you this blog of an up-and-coming writer: Guntopolis. You remember that girl in your class who had a good head without being preachy or a know-it-all and was just an awesome person to know? That person is Guntopolis, and she has a blog! Of particular interest is her rant about Vogue magazine's It-Girls as well as her observations about being engaged in a consumer-driven world. If only all my friends had blogs!

The Demon Bluesman

You might notice the tab at the top of the page labeled Demon Bluesman. As of this writing, it leads to a mostly blank page sporting a horse skeleton. Soon, it will link to a serial novel written by my alter-ego Anthony S, titled The Demon Bluesman. I plan on making this series available in PDF format once the proper arrangements are completed. Check the page for a brief description of what is to come.

For now, enjoy the horsey.

Reviewtopia

Like what I do on Memory Lane? Then check out Reviewtopia, a quickly growing video site chock-full of people brimming with equal parts opinion, humor, insight, and insanity. Whether you like movies, comics, video games, or ponies, Reviewtopia has got it all.

Alone With Thought

Speaking of serious movies (seriously), enjoy this short film written, directed, filmed, and edited by your's truly and starring the talented actor/painter/psychic medium Jenny Lee Wright. Alone with Thought follows the antics of a misanthrope cutting herself off from society and sitting by the lakeside to think. Ms. Wright describes the film as very Swedish.

48 Hour Film: Two Good Beans

So you all don't think I can make drama, huh? Don't think I can turn out a movie in a short amount of time? Then witness Two Good Beans, made for the 48 Hour Film Festival in Jacksonville, FL. Written and produced by me under my pseudonym Anthony Sotelo, Two Good Beans tells the story of a coffee shop owner deciding between protecting himself and doing the right thing.

If you're a Jacksonville local, you might recognize the coffee shop as the now defunct Uncommon Ground. You might also recognize the dead body as the environmentally-friendly meteorologist Julie Watkins. Features excellent music by musician Ron Rodriguez of The Repeat Offenders. Let me know what you think, won't you?

Tumblr: Bubblegum Hookah

Announcing my very own fancy Tumblr: Bubblegum Hookah. Get into the mind of this white-haired freak genius as I post pictures, videos, and text that I have either utilized in my shows or that I just thing are kind of neat. Does this mean I will start a pinterest? Highly doubtful as I still have this site to maintain, but we can always pretend, right?
